The Man in the Middle

One of the design firms who work for our company also hired my services as a consultant. We’ve known the company for so long and we’ve done a lot of projects together that it was almost natural for me to do a little moonlighting with them. In effect, we were caught in a sort of a loop. It isn’t such a bad thing though, as long as we do not share inside information. I do not see any reason why that should be a problem though, as we do not really keep secrets from each other. However, perhaps it’s best to keep them guessing. They probably think we have a lot of secrets, but in truth, they already know everything about it. It’s one of those schemes that keep the balance between companies. In this case however, I’m holding both consultant positions in both companies, which means that the balance is in my hands. I have no doubt whatsoever that these companies will benefit a lot from me working for both of them at the same time.
